In it, the journalist recounts the historical circumstances that allowed her grandparents to leave their country behind the &quot;Iron Curtain&quot;. Going back over the human trafficking of which thousands of Jews were victims in the heart of Europe, Sonia Devillers gives voice to those whom the communist regime did not name, those whose unspeakable truth was kept quiet, by mixing the discovery of the archives of the Romanian secret services and her family history.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A former journalist at Le Figaro, Sonia Devillers joined France Inter in 2005 as a columnist on Isabelle Giordano's programme Service public. Every morning, she presents a magazine devoted to media news : L'instant M. In 2022, she joins the 7\/9.30 team of Nicolas Demorand and L\u00e9a<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salam\u00e9 on L'invit\u00e9 de 9h10. At the same time, she joined the french-german channel Arte in the autumn of 2022, where she presents &quot;Le dessous des images&quot; (The underside of pictures), a magazine that looks at the construction and impact of images on our interpretation and our way of seeing the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Annette Wieviorka is a French historian specializing in the Shoah and the history of the Jews in the 20th century. Author of a thesis &quot;Deportation and genocide : between memory and oblivion, 1943-1948 : the case of the Jews in France&quot;, she is also the author of numerous publications, such as recently &quot;Tombeaux : Autobiographie de ma famille&quot; <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Tombs : Autobiography of my family) <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, published by Le Seuil in 2022. In this autobiographical novel, Annette Wieviorka reflects on the traces left by all the missing people who make up her family, a Jewish family that has been mishandled by History, revealing a more personal perspective on the history of the Nazi occupation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Between personal stories and history, the two authors will discuss how life stories and historical events intertwine to make the history of humanity. The discussion will be moderated by Marianne Amar, historian, specialist in migrations, mobilities and diasporas in the 19th and 20th centuries.
