Le Nageur<\/em> retrace le destin de cet athl\u00e8te n\u00e9 \u00e0 Constantine, s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 pour repr\u00e9senter la France aux Jeux Olympiques de Berlin en 1936, puis \u00e0 ceux de Londres en 1948. Entre les deux championnats, le sportif Alfred Nakache conna\u00eet un destin tragique ; d\u00e9nonc\u00e9 par un rival comme juif et r\u00e9sistant de la Gestapo toulousaine il est d\u00e9port\u00e9 \u00e0 Auschwitz avec sa femme, Paule.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Ancien responsable du magazine Lire, membre du comit\u00e9 de r\u00e9daction de la revue L\u2019Histoire et membre de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie Goncourt depuis 2012, Pierre Assouline<\/strong> a notamment \u00e9crit les biographies de Marcel Dassault, Georges Simenon, Gaston Gallimard, ou encore Herg\u00e9. Auteur de milliers d\u2019articles et de chroniques radios, il d\u00e9voile dans ses romans biographiques l\u2019Histoire au travers de r\u00e9cits de vie, d\u00e9livrant ainsi une nouvelle lecture des \u00e9v\u00e9nements historiques.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n La conf\u00e9rence sera anim\u00e9e par Roselyne D\u00e9ry<\/strong>, sp\u00e9cialiste d\u2019\u00e9dition et de litt\u00e9rature fran\u00e7aise contemporaine. Elle accompagnera \u00a0dans la pr\u00e9sentation de ce nouveau roman biographique dans une discussion autour de l\u2019Histoire et des r\u00e9cits de vie, et de la question : Comment les r\u00e9cits de vie nous offrent-ils une nouvelle vision des faits historiques ?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In March 2023, Pierre Assouline published the biography of Alfred Nakache, a French and European champion swimmer in the 1940s. Le Nageur retraces the destiny of this athlete born in Constantine, who was selected to represent France at the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936, then at those in London in 1948. Between the two championships, the sportsman Alfred Nakache met a tragic fate ; denounced by a rival as a Jew and a member of the Toulouse Gestapo, he was deported to Auschwitz with his wife, Paule.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A former head of Lire magazine, member of the editorial board of L'Histoire and member of the Acad\u00e9mie Goncourt since 2012, Pierre Assouline has written biographies of Marcel Dassault, Georges Simenon, Gaston Gallimard, and Herg\u00e9. Author of thousands of articles and radio columns, he reveals history through life stories in his biographical novels, thus providing a new reading of historical events.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The conference will be moderated by Roselyne D\u00e9ry, specialist in publishing and contemporary French literature.
