ITINÉRAIRE DE PARIS À JÉRUSALEM

Chaque automne depuis 2012, l’Institut français de Jérusalem – antenne Romain Gary s’associe à l’Agence France-Presse et vous propose de participer à un concours de photographie : Itinéraire de Paris à Jérusalem.
L’objectif de ce concours est de rassembler autour d’un même thème, original et évocateur, les photographes amateurs et professionnels de la région. Les photographies reçues sont départagées par un jury de professionnels éclairés qui désignent 3 gagnants dans chacune des deux catégories de participants ainsi qu’un prix spécial du jury.

Itinéraire de Paris à Jérusalem #9 : INTÉRIEURS

Le candidat au concours cherchera par le biais de la photographie, à montrer son environnement immédiat par une seule image pour les amateurs et par une série d’images pour les photographes professionnels.

Pour vous aider : quelques conseils du jury et rappels du règlement :

> Vous devez nous envoyer une photographie et une image ou série d’images

> Les photographies soumises doivent évoquer ou Jérusalem ou Paris, ou les deux. Il n’est cependant pas nécessaire que les photographies aient été prises dans ces villes !

> Les photographies soumises doivent avoir été réalisées entre le 15 mars 2020 et le 3 avril 2021. Toute photographie antérieure sera exclue du concours.

> Les photographies soumises doivent avoir été réalisées en France, à Jérusalem, en Israël ou dans les Territoires palestiniens.

> Le jury rappelle aux candidats de la catégorie Professionnels que leur choix tiendra compte de la cohérence de la série proposée.

Qui peut participer à ce concours ?
Ce concours est ouvert à tous sous réserve d’être résident permanent de France, de Jérusalem, d’Israël ou des Territoires palestiniens. Cette condition remplie, il est possible de participer à notre concours dans l’une des deux catégories suivantes :

► Catégorie Professionnels
Cette catégorie est ouverte à tous les photographes, journalistes et professionnels de la photographie ainsi qu’aux étudiants en photographie et métiers de la photographie, en journalisme et en art, sans limite d’âge. Les participants relevant de cette catégorie doivent envoyer une série de 3 à 5 photographies illustrant le thème du concours.

► Catégorie Amateurs
Cette catégorie est ouverte à tous les autres participants, sans limite d’âge. Les amateurs doivent envoyer une seule photographie illustrant le thème du concours.

Quels sont les prix à gagner ?

Le jury, constitué de professionnels de la photographie et des représentants de nos partenaires, sélectionne 3 à 4 lauréats dans chaque catégorie de participation et leur décerne un prix à chacun. Il décernera également pour la première fois en 2018 un prix spécial du jury.

Le Jury 2020 sera composé de :

  • Nissan N. Perez, historien de la photographie et président du jury ;
  • Guillaume Robert, conseiller culturel du Consulat général de France à Jérusalem et directeur de l’Institut français de Jérusalem ;
  • Jean Jacques Gatein, directeur-délégué de l’IFJ – antenne Romain Gary ;
  • Valérie Abécassis, Rédactrice en chef « culture » pour i24NEWS
  • Didier Ben Loulou, artiste photographe ;
  • Emmanuel Dunand, photographe en chef pour l’AFP en Israël, à Jérusalem et dans les Territoires palestiniens ;
  • Olivier Fitoussi, photographe en chef pour Haaretz ;
  • Claude Oliel, secrétaire général de la Fondation France-Israël, responsable du magasin Bamboo ;
  • Marc Israel Sellem, photographe en chef au Jerusalem Post ;
  • Rachel Yedid, artiste-peintre et photographe

 

Il décernera une dizaine de lots, annoncés ultérieurement.

Each Autumn since 2012, the Institut français de Jérusalem – Romain Gary teams up with the Agence France-Presse and offers you the opportunity to enter a digital photography contest: Itinerary from Paris to Jerusalem.
The goal of this contest is to gather around, on one original and inspirational theme, the amateur and professional photographers of the region. Among all the photographers that enter this contest, 3 are selected by a professional jury in each category and chosen to receive a prize. At the same time, the public also selects a winner of the facebook prize.

The candidate will try through photography to show his immediate surroundings in a single image for amateurs, or a series of images for professional photographers.

To help you: the Jury’s recommandations and some reminders about the contest’s rules:

> You must send us a photo or a set of photos

> The submitted photographs must evoke Jerusalem or Paris, or both of these cities. It is not however necessary that the photographs ought to be taken in these cities!

> All submitted photographs must have been taken between March, 15th 2020 and April, 3rd 2021. Prior photographs will be disqualified.

> Photographs must have been taken in France, Jerusalem, Israel or the Palestinian Territories.

> The jury reminds the professional participants that the coherence of the series is crucial.

Who can enter this contest?

This contest is open to all permanent residents of France, Jerusalem, Israel and the Palestinian Territories. If you are among those, you can enter the contest in one of two categories:

► Professionals
This category is open to all photographers, journalists and all image professionals as well as to photography, media, journalism and art students, regardless of age. The contestants within this category must enter a series of 3 to 5 photographs illustrating the contest’s theme.

► Amateur photographers
This category is open to all the other photography enthusiasts, regardless of age. Contestants within this category must send one single photograph illustrating the contest’s theme.

 

What are the prizes?
Each year, several prizes are given:

► The jury prize
The jury, made of image professionals and of representants of our partners, chooses 3 or 4 winners from each category and gives them one prize each.

The jury members for 2020 are:

  • Nissan N. Perez, historian of photography and President of the Jury;
  • Guillaume Robert, Cultural advisor of the General Consulate of France in Jerusalem and Head of the Institut français de Jérusalem;
  • Jean Jacques Gatein, executive manager of the IFJ – Romain Gary;
  • Valérie Abécassis, Chief editor Culture & Lifestyle for i24NEWS
  • Didier Ben Loulou, photographer artist
  • Emmanuel Dunand, Head photographer for Israël, Jerusalem & Palestinian territories for the AFP;
  • Olivier Fitoussi, Head photographer for Haaretz;
  • Claude Oliel, secretary-general of France-Israel Foundation, manager of Bamboo shop
  • Marc Israel Sellem, photographer for the Jerusalem Post;
  • Rachel Yedid, painter and a photographer

 

This jury will grant about 10 prizes that will be announced later on.
